The Polyamory pride flag was designed in 1995 by Jim Evans. It consist of three colored stripes, Blue representing openness and honesty among all partners, Red representing love and passion, and Black representing solidarity with those who must hide their polyamorous relationships from the outside world. In the center of the flag is a gold Greek lowercase letter ‘pi’, as the first letter of ‘polyamory’. Gold represents “the value that we place on the emotional attachment to others… as opposed to merely primarily physical relationships”.
